TRENT BAIRD WAS BORN a Cancer in Moscow, Idaho circa 1981. He missed out on most of the music of the decade, but still recalls singing "Only a Lad" by Oingo Boingo when he was...only a lad. After stints in Nebraska, Wyoming and (briefly) Idaho, he finally came to rest in Salt Lake City, UT where he lives with his wife (Lauri) and two dogs (Donny and Teddy).
In September of 2005, while working as a collector for a Credit Union, he realized that the only things he wanted to do with his life were: play videogames, play Magic: the Gathering, read comic books and hang out with Lauri. He decided videogames were it, and promptly enrolled in ITT Tech to study videogame design.
Shortly after, thanks to the lovely Lauri, he was able to leave the credit union for greener pastures, and went to work for a local law firm. After a few ups and downs at the law firm he eventually found himself doing MySQL queries as a QA Technician in the IT Department. Two months after landing that sweet gig, he found out about an opening in the QA department (again, because of his sweet wife) of a local videogame developer.
In August of 2007, his dream finally came true when he became a member of the QA department at Sensory Sweep Studios. After the baptism of fire that is crunch-time, Trent was officially a card-carrying member of the video-game industry. Not satisfied to simply play the games however, six months later, he decided that he wanted to try his hand at videogame art. He gathered together his demo reel, and showed it to the art director to be considered for an art internship. He was lucky enough to be accepted into the internship on his first try, and now feels like the luckiest guy in the world.
